Meeting in Slovenia – What we did

During the last meeting in Ljubljana the partners shared the modes and tools for families and community participation in the ECEC services. It was interesting to know and compare the best practices of each organisation, in order to think about improving the services’ quality, considering families as valuable resource. This reflection led a discussion about the meaning of “participation” and about possible challenges to engaging parents and community in the school life.

The visit to 3 kindergartens was really helpful to see the organisation of Slovenian pre-school services: age groups of children, different spaces and corners, outdoor activities, educational projects, relationship with families…

The partners also planned in detail all the organisational aspects and the weekly schedule of the job shadowing.
